Koorush Rug Small crease mark to leftAn antique early 20th century Malayer rug from northwest Persia. Dark pink field filled with boteh, small flowerheads and many pairs of songbirds, enclosed in a pale yellow strapwork lattice. Narrow ice blue angular floral main border within pale yellow and dark brown floral guards. Overall wear, to base in places and some corrosion but consistent with its age. A small hole to end of field centre has been patched. Loss to end and edges. 188 x 129cm
