They are an adaptation of an original Jean Prouve design and given permission to be produced by his daughter, Catherine Prouve. This is the story given to me by two reputable dealers. Urban legend? Who knows. Thick powder coated steel base with oak seat. 28 tall. 12 seat diameter. 17 base diameter.
