Rare 1860s CDV S. Hunter Smith with His Dulcimer gurney died of disease on MarchRare original CDV of S. Hunter Smith in his custom chair, posing with his dulcimer. Smith was born in 1828 in Indiana and became crippled at a young age. In 1853 he had a custom chair made which allowed him to sit upright for the first time in many years. Smith amassed a large collection of stereoscopic images and in 1864 began a travelling exhibition displaying them. CDV is approximately 4" x 2. 5" with blank back, as issued. It's overall in good or
